The Artist Cube is the recipient of the Canada Summer Jobs Grant for 2026.
The roles are listed below. Interviews will be conducted through May 1st. May 4th all successful applicants will receive confirmation of employment.

Overview: Be the voice of The Artist Cube, connecting artists with the community through compelling storytelling and clear communication.
Responsibilities:

Write and distribute press releases for exhibitions, workshops, and events

Manage email communications with artists, sponsors, and community partners
-
Draft social media captions and content for Instagram, Facebook, and newsletters
-
Create social media posts as instructed with clear design skills via Canva
-
Respond to inquiries from artists, attendees, and potential sponsors
-
Create and maintain artist bios, event descriptions, and promotional materials
-
Coordinate announcements for upcoming exhibitions and community events
-
Assist with sponsor outreach communications and partnership proposals
-
Maintain consistent brand voice across all written communications

Overview: Transform gallery spaces into immersive experiences that showcase artists' work in the best possible light.
Responsibilities:

Plan and design layouts for art exhibitions and gallery shows
-
Coordinate installation and takedown of exhibitions with artists
-
Create signage, labels, and wayfinding materials for exhibitions
-
Design promotional materials (posters, flyers, banners) for events
-
Assist with workshop space setup and event staging
-
Collaborate with marketing team on visual branding and graphics
-
Source and organize display materials (pedestals, lighting, frames)
-
Help create engaging booth designs for community outreach events
-
Support workshops be available in person to open / close workshops and events
-
Document exhibition layouts and maintain design archives

Support video producer with visual content creation when needed

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute marketing campaigns for exhibitions and workshops

Manage social media content calendar and posting schedule

Create engaging graphics and promotional materials using Canva or design tools
-
Coordinate with communications officer on messaging and content
-
Identify and reach out to potential sponsors and community partners
-
Plan and promote community outreach initiatives
-
Track and analyze social media metrics and campaign performance
-
Organize marketing materials for events (postcards, business cards, signage)
-
Collaborate with video producer on content strategy
-
Build partnerships with local businesses, schools, and cultural organizations

Assist with event promotion and attendee engagement strategies

Overview: Capture The Artist Cube's story through engaging video content that showcases exhibitions, events, and the artists we serve.
Responsibilities:

Film exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and community events

Create promotional videos for upcoming exhibitions and workshops
-
Edit video content for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube)
-
Interview artists about their work and creative process
-
Produce behind-the-scenes content of exhibition setup and event preparation
-
Create highlight reels of past events for sponsor presentations
-
Collaborate with marketing team to create video campaigns
-
Document community outreach initiatives and workshop activities
-
Assist with photography when needed for events and exhibitions
