Mentorship vs. Art Instructor:
Mentors:
At TAC, we believe that everyone who wants to become an artist without the added cost and time of joining an institution, should get that chance.
A mentor is a professional artist that will take on 3-5 students and follow a 3 month program, which can continue if the student wishes to, with a new hobby artist or emerging artist, wishing to enhance their art techniques so they are able to exhibit and sell their art.
As we develop the mentorship program with guidelines, payment structures and timings, we would like to ensure all interested artists can submit their mentorship proposals.
Skills for mentors include:
-
Professional art skills in any medium
-
Monthly in-person time on a fixed day and time for 90 minutes with your mentees - at a cafe or your studio
-
Weekly online follow up sessions to check progress and critique work
-
Report to TAC program coordinator every week on how each session went
-
Keep developing their program based on mentee feedback
Art Instructors:
Art Instructors are professionals who will teach a workshop on their specialty or a series to enhance art knowledge to students. They would need to submit a proposal as outlined below and if chosen, would need to submit a list of materials for students to bring or create kits for students for additional cost.
At TAC we aim to empower artists as instructors and mentors, yet aim to support students to develop their skills for a cost that won't break the bank.
We are hoping for such a partnership with Art Instructors and Mentors.
Thank you. We look forward to your proposals!

Artists can be professionals in their fields but not all artists can be teachers.
Your art might be sought after and if you wish to teach, please record a short video of you instructing an audience (make believe or real) so we can assess your style of teaching. If required, we may give you an assistant to help facilitate your workshop.
