ETHNIC ART
Nargis Naqvi is a Saudi Canadian artist of South Asian descent, based in Milton, Canada. With a background in Business, Interior Design, and Photography, she moved to Canada in 1999. A self-taught artist since childhood, she works in mixed media, blending spray paint, collage, acrylics, and oils. Her art often explores the lives of women, symbolized by clay pots representing life. Nargis has exhibited in over 25 shows, served as Chair of the Exhibitions Committee at the Fine Arts Society of Milton, and her piece “Humanity First” is displayed on a traffic box in Milton.

Zunaira Mufti is a multidisciplinary architect and artist from, blending architecture, symbolism, and storytelling. Influenced by her cultural heritage and architectural training, her paintings invite reflection on identity, belonging, and heritage. As the founder of ZDot Design Studio, she promotes community engagement through exhibitions and workshops. In 2024, she co-founded Artist Cube, supporting Muslim artists and celebrating diverse cultural voices Through her work, Zunaira fosters dialogue and inclusion, connecting cultures and communities.
Rabia Kazmi is a graphic designer and owner of Zee9 Toronto a community TV channel and design studio. While design is her career, her true passion lies visual art, primarily working with acrylic and pastels. Drawing is central to her, serving as her main form of expression. Based in Canada,ia balances her professional creativity with a personal art focused on curiosity and self-expression.
Aya Maki is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, emotion, femininity, memory, and human connection through expressive visual storytelling. Blending introspection with contemporary aesthetics, her art captures moments of vulnerability, transformation, and quiet strength. Inspired by personal experiences, culture, and the emotional layers of everyday life, Aya creates pieces that invite reflection and evoke a sense of intimacy and depth. Her work exists as both a personal archive and an evolving exploration of self-expression, creativity, and meaning.
