Celebrating Muslim Heritage Through Art

This October, during Islamic Heritage Month, The Artist Cube hosted “Canvas of Muslim Artists: Honouring Heritage Through Art” at the Holcim Gallery in Milton. Featuring 28 talented artists, the exhibition celebrated creativity, culture, and community.

As a volunteer-run organization, every moment from curating the artists to launching our quarterly magazine was a labour of love. We can’t wait to connect, celebrate, and create together in the months ahead, with our AGM and watch party in November and Spring Exhibition coming soon.

Every exhibition starts with a vision, but bringing it to life takes heart, dedication, and countless hours of love. This October, during Islamic Heritage Month, The Artist Cube proudly hosted “Canvas of Muslim Artists: Honouring Heritage Through Art” at the Holcim Gallery in Milton. It was a celebration of creativity, culture, and community.

As a volunteer-run organization, every moment of this exhibition, from curating 28 incredible artists to launching our quarterly magazine, was a labour of love. Our goal was simple: to create a space where Muslim artists could share their heritage, tell their stories, and inspire others. From intricate calligraphy to bold contemporary works, each piece reflected the richness of tradition and the energy of today’s creativity.

We were honoured to welcome  Zee Hamid, MPP Milton, who recognized our efforts with a certificate of appreciation, and we are deeply grateful to Milton Counselors Colin Best, Sarah Marshall and Adil Khalqi along with Sameera Ali, Regional Counselor.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our amazing sponsors and partners for believing in this vision and helping us bring it to life.

Looking ahead:

  • Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and collaborative watch party with Global Islamic Art in November are free for members; however, please don’t forget to register.

  • And of course, we’re already preparing for our Spring Exhibition, where more stories, heritage, and creativity will be celebrated.

This journey is only possible because of you: our community of artists, supporters, and friends. Whether you attended the exhibition, read our new magazine, or simply followed along from afar, you are part of this story. We can’t wait to connect, celebrate, and create together in the months ahead. Together, we’re not just showcasing art, we’re building a living, breathing space for heritage, culture, and inspiration.

For those who couldn’t attend, you can explore the gallery for our opening night. You can also meet the artists and purchase their meaningful art directly on our website.
