  • Adeeba Aslam is a Toronto-based visual artist whose work explores spiritual symbolism, feminine strength, and the rhythms of the natural world through textured abstraction. A self-taught artist, she comes from a family of painters, potters, and designers rooted in the artistic traditions of Pakistan. Her practice is shaped by intuition, memory, and spiritual reflection.

  • Beginning reflects on our connection to where we come from, both in the physical world and in the spiritual sense. As part of a series exploring the bond between humans and nature, the painting uses layered textures and mixed media to echo the natural processes of growth, erosion, and renewal. Each surface is built slowly, shaped by both control and surrender.
This piece shifts toward a more sculptural approach, inviting the viewer to not just see the work but to feel its presence. The textures suggest how we carry traces of where we have been and who we are becoming.
Inspired by Islamic values of reflection, gratitude, and humility, the work offers a quiet space to remember our connection to the earth, the unseen, and ultimately, to God.
