Nora Alkeyat | Harvest and Hearth

Nora is an artist and trained interior architectural designer with a studio practice in illustration. Her work explores biomorphic geometries in nature and spiritual storytelling as she experiments with an eclectic use of colours, patterns, and technology.
Nora’s artwork is informed by various art history studies, often referencing Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts, Islamic Biomorphic Illumination, Persian Miniatures, 19 Century Arts & Crafts movement, Post-Impressionism, and Nature-Surrealism. Her painting practice
bridges traditional arts with modern design experimenting with a variety of mixed-mediums ranging from oil painting on wood, oil pastels, gouache painting on paper, to digital illustration on Procreate.

With a fond interest in history, spirituality, and nature, she aims to evoke a sense of fairy tale wonder, play and contemplation, inviting viewers into deeper reflection through imagination, Divine beauty, and visualized metaphysics. With meticulous layering of symbolism, narrative, and ornament, her compositions harmonize playful expression with sacred principles.
The guiding purpose of her practice is to strengthen our love, hearts and remembrance of God, ignite beauty & optimism and deepen our soul, faith, and perceptions. Art is beyond beauty, it is a means of healing, discipline, spiritual growth and expansion of the heart.
