In this work, I allowed myself complete freedom to be expressive through drawing and the use of pastels. I worked intuitively, letting color, movement, and mark-making lead the composition rather than strict form. The bold reds and warm earth tones reflect energy, emotion, and the raw presence of the landscape, while cooler blues and greens bring balance and depth. Pastels allow me to draw and paint at the same time, which feels natural and honest to me. This piece is about motion, feeling, and connection with nature, created through loose gestures, layered textures, and an unfiltered emotional response.
