Rabia Kazmi | Whispers of the Forest

In this pastel work, I wanted to capture the feeling of walking through a quiet forest where time slows down. I allowed the trees to dissolve into soft layers of color rather than defined forms, focusing on movement, light, and atmosphere. The deep greens and cool blues reflect calm and depth, while the warm red tones on the ground suggest memory, earth, and grounding. Working on a large scale gave me freedom to use broad, expressive strokes and trust my instincts. Drawing and pastels come naturally to me, and this piece reflects my ongoing connection with nature as a place of peace, reflection, and inner balance.
