  • Sanober Shameem is an emerging artist who enjoys exploring a variety of artistic mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and Islamic geometric art. Her artistic journey began in high school, where she studied visual arts and developed a passion for creativity and self-expression. Due to family responsibilities, she stepped away from art for several years, but rediscovered her passion in 2024 and has since dedicated herself to learning and growing as an artist.
Sanober is an active volunteer and community member with the Global Centre for Islamic Art. For the past three years, she has been studying and creating Islamic geometric patterns, drawing inspiration from the beauty, symmetry, and spiritual significance of traditional Islamic art. She regularly participates in workshops and enjoys experimenting with new techniques and creative approaches.
In addition to her artistic practice, Sanober contributes to her community through volunteer work in education and arts programming. Her artwork reflects a love of learning, patience, and continuous growth. As an emerging artist, her goal is to remain consistent in her creative practice, expand her artistic skills, and share the beauty of art with others through teaching, community engagement, and creative expression.

  • This artwork is inspired by Allama Iqbal's philosophy of Khudi—the journey of strengthening one's inner self through faith, purpose, and perseverance. At the heart of the composition is Iqbal's famous verse, surrounded by a repeating Islamic geometric pattern that symbolizes unity, balance, and the infinite possibilities of growth.
