Specializing in wood carving, wall installations, and mixed media pieces, Zeena reinterprets classical Islamic motifs with a contemporary sensibility, inviting viewers to experience harmony, rhythm, and balance through form.
The Badshahi Masjid in Lahore is adorned with red sandstone and white marble inlays. My visit to Badshahi masjid left me in awe of all the intricate work. The floral reliefs from the masjid are what inspired this piece, Badshahi Blossoms. Sculpted with Gypsum paste, this biomorphic design is a tribute to Mughal craftsmanship and aesthetic.
